In 2011, after her baby was born, Elena Yoti decided to quit her job. She wanted to do something different so she convinced a friend to start a cake shop. A simple idea, and at first a scary step. She dug out her mom’s Greek recipes, and made them a bit lighter. The cakes, pastries and sweets are named after the relatives and friends who shared those recipes long time ago, like Carmela’s Tiramisú or Nancy’s cookies. Nana Yoti is more than a cake shop. It’s the point where tradition, taste, culture and values meet in the shape of a sweet explosion.
