Mercato Centrale Roma, the foodie station Following on from Florence, another Central Market designed by Umberto Urbano is opening in Rome's Termini station featuring twenty stores that make for a journey into Italian taste.

The stores are topped by the monumental Cappa Mazzoniana, crafted from Portuguese marble dating back to the 1930's.Where railway workers used to dine, visitors can now find typical Roman artisanal products, the excellence of made in Italy and take away food.

However, Rome’s new central market – its blend of modern delights and top quality products- is a great option when you have a limited amount of time in Rome. (Or if you are looking to pass the time with a glass of wine during a train delay).
