Articles // London // Generator Our People: Meet Nathan, Events Coordinator, Generator London 17 feb 2017 Easygoing Events Coordinator, Nathan, has been an essential part of the Generator family for over a decade. Having started with our team London in 2007, he's been responsible for everything fun during the last 2 ½ years. He lives in vibrant Finsbury Park in North London. Describe your role in three words: Fun, energetic, intense. What do you enjoy about your job? One day is never the same as the next. That’s exactly what I enjoy about my job. What’s the best item on Generator London’s restaurant menu? Tough call. The Gen Burger followed closely by the Pie & Mash. What do you love about the area you live in? Much like Generator, Finsbury Park is very diverse. It has so many different cultures, so many different people living in the area and yet there’s never one point when I feel out of place. It’s perfectly balanced. I also love that it’s 6-minutes away from work on the Tube. What do you think is the best way to see London? On foot, without a map, and with your phone switched off. Just go, walk and explore. That’s where you’re going to find the hidden gems. Don’t just rely on Time Out’s list of “what to see in London”; talk to people and ask them where to go. If you don’t have a great sense of direction, then go to a London landmark on public transport, say Big Ben or the London Eye, and then just walk because once you’re in central London you can’t get lost. There’s a Tube station on every corner. What’s your favourite museum or iconic landmark in London? My most iconic landmark is Buckingham Palace. It’s the best one. What does #genlove mean to you? I think it encompasses everything about travelling, about meeting new people, about really being the experience-led hospitality brand that we’re trying to be. Hot for Cool Britannia?
