Articles // London // Food and Drink Generator And Luke Thomas Had A Blast At V Festival! 30 Aug 2016 The chef gave hungry celebrities and partygoers a taste of Generator’s upcoming menu revamp. Last weekend marked the twentieth V Festival since its founding in 1996. It’s one of Britain’s best-loved music festivals, transforming two distinct parts of the country – in Staffordshire and Essex – into a two-day party dedicated to the best pop and rock around. This year it featured the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Travis and more. While the rhythms and melodies emanating from the main stage had us hooked, it was the flavours on display at Luke Thomas’ fairground in the Artist's Village that fuelled us up for more. Luke is the head chef at Luke’s Dining Room in Berkshire and is the man behind Luke’s Eating House in Chester and Retro Feasts in Dubai. What makes him even more interesting to us is he recently announced a partnership with Generator Hostels to help create a new menu for its locations across Europe – read our interview with him about it here. At V Festival, his food stall was offering delicious tasters of what’s to come for Generator’s guests: Welsh lamb, beetroot tacos, sweet potato curry, bourbon glazed pork hotdogs and more. Musicians and celebrities – from Stormzy to Dougie Poynter – all visited the stall, which was designed with a fairground feel and featured games like giant versions of Jenga and Connect Four. Check out the photos to see what a great time was had, and if the food on display whets your appetite then come taste it for yourself.
