A passionate, creative and driven PR & Communications enthusiast with a strong working knowledge of PR press office, clipping services and servicing as well as agency relations. An outgoing, charismatic individual who is confident with journalists, handling agency relations and coordinating with internal senior directors and executives with a passion for the fields of hospitality, lifestyle and urban culture.
 
Someone who loves written copy, is articulate, sparing and thoughtful with their use of words.  Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to coordinate work written work and briefings between agency partners and journalists.
 
German or Spanish as a second language is a plus.
 
Role Overview
 
Working as a part of the marketing department having a close relationship to the Marketing Director developing PR plans and handling PR activities and agency briefings, feedback and activations from the European and North American markets.

The PR role and tasks will focus on:
 
  • Appointing, briefing and managing agencies in the UK and internationally to deliver coverage in target media outlets, fulfilling local and brand objectives.  Ensure all agencies have a current brief and play a key role in the on-going assessment of agency performance.
  • New site launches, commercial priorities, profile pieces and brand-led announcements, positioning pieces and speaking opportunities.
  • Maximising integrated PR coverage between agencies and the Generator Social Media Team and Channels such as LinkedIn.
  • Acting as the central point of contact for both agencies and media, developing and distributing information, releases, assets and content.
  • Liaising with external agency partners daily to discuss, pitch for and manage and/or host press trips, interviews and reviews.
  • Managing the Generator press archive and compiling monthly progress reports on coverage and active media relations projects for company-wide distribution.             
  • Monitor target journalists and publications relevant to the Generator brand, keeping up to date on competitors.
 
Role reports to the CMO with a dotted line to the Marketing Director
