Group Financial Controller

About the role:
As a Group Financial Controller, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Business partnering

    • Provide financial analysis and insight to the Executive team and Heads of Department (especially Operations, Revenue and Development) in order to drive efficiency and streamline business processes

    • Analyse and interpret all financial data to both monitor and help improve financial performance

    • Preparation and analysis of key KPIs

    • Process design and streamlining

    • Prepare benchmarking analysis on key financial revenues/expenditure

    • Ensure the highest internal control standards are adhered to. Analyse and survey internal procedures and systems and advise management about organisational issues

    • Partner with the operations team to control costs and drive value

  1. Cash-flow management

    • Prepare the weekly cash balances report

    • Produce the monthly Group Cash-flow forecast for the next 24 months

  1. Management accounts

    • Manage the hostel finance teams to prepare the monthly Group Management Accounts

    • Budgeting and Forecasting processes

    • Production of other ad-hoc other recurring reports

  1. Purchase to Pay

    1. Implement from scratch a new software solution for the Purchase to Pay process, including raising and approving of Purchase Orders, invoice scanning and approval, workflow management

  1. Consolidation

    • Prepare monthly and yearly consolidated accounts, making sure that correct consolidation adjustments have been calculated and posted

  1. Annual Audit

    • Manage audit and oversee all statutory reporting requirements

    To be successful in the role, you need:

  • Finance-related qualification

  • At least 2 years’ experience as Management Accountant or Financial Analyst, preferably in a multinational company within hospitality industry

  • Strong user of Excel

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Hands-on attitude, with attention to detail
