To help you find brilliant beds, book exciting experiences and find just about anything else on Generator’s website, we’ve compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
- How do I find and select the city I want to visit?
Hover over the pink arrow besides the Destinations tab. A drop down list will appear with all our locations below. Choose where you want to go and start browsing.
- Where are the directions to your destinations?
On the relevant Destination page you’ll see a ‘Find Us’ option in the top menu. Under ‘Walk this way’ you’ll see we’ve hand-picked the top four landmarks and/or stations around the destination. By clicking on the grey boxes underneath ‘Walk this way’, you’re effectively changing your position on the interactive map below. Hey presto!
- What’s happening this weekend at Generator’s destinations (bar events included)?
Click on a hostel destination and the next page has a ‘See & Do’ button. You can find information on events here. There is another tab called ‘City Guides’ – this will give you top tips on every city where you’ll find a Generator.
- Is there a list of facilities on the website, I cannot find it?
Yes there is. Click on Destinations and select a city from the drop-down menu. You will see the facilities straight away. Additional information about room types can be found via the tab at the top – Rooms & Rates, or you can click on the box ‘Rooms & Rates’ on the right hand side.
- Where do I find special offers?
Choose a hostel destination via the Destinations tab. On the top right hand corner you will find a tab named ‘Offers’. Click on it. In most cases, all offers are consistent throughout all properties.
- Where do I find hostel/city pictures?
Select your European destination, scroll down until you see ‘Sneak Preview’ on the right. Click on individual pictures. A slideshow will let you browse back or forward. Hover with the cursor over the right or left end of the picture and an arrow appears to get to the next picture.
- I love it! How do I book a room?
Glad you do. We love it too. Right, you’ve got two options – the purple booking engine on the top left hand side or the smaller ‘Book Now’ buttons. These boxes are a static feature throughout almost all posts on the website, so it’s really easy to book.
