Some say that film has never been the same since they discovered how to add sound. The grand experience of going to the cinema 100 years ago was totally different to now. Here’s your chance to enjoy “silent” cinema in the way it was originally conceived – with a pit orchestra to provide incidental music.
Previous years have seen greats such as Frank Urson’s “Chicago”, the Buster Keaton classic “The General” and works by Hitchcock, von Stroheim and Georges Méliès. This year there will be the world premier of a recently discovered gem by Orson Welles, “Too Much Johnson”.
