Santa Run at Battersea Park
A quiet Saturday walk around one of London’s most peaceful and beautiful parks suddenly becomes awash with jolly, red faced running Santas. You could be forgiven for thinking that this was some weird London Christmas ritual and in fact you would be right.
Every year hundreds of runners dress up and complete the 6km course and, of course, it’s all for charity. Interestingly, the charity concerned is Disability Snowsport UK, which helps to get people with disabilities to access the thrill of snow sports. If nothing else the dashing Santas will raise a smile!
