London Cocktail Week
If you love cocktails, London Cocktail Week is a great time to come to the capital and indulge in a tasty treat or two. Seminars, workshops, pop-up bars, tastings, parties and master-classes will be laid on for cocktail novices and professionals alike.
With over 17,000 visitors expected, there’s sure to be a vibrant atmosphere in Seven Dials, which is the village in Covent Garden where the festival will take place. With seven streets worth of sipping, you will have plenty of choice when it comes to deciding where to party, from luxury hotels to underground bars. There will also be cocktail tours taking place, spanning over 150 bars across London.
To take part in the fun you will need a wristband, which will be available from September and it’s recommended that you register in advance. The wristband will get you discounted drinks at participating London Cocktail Week bars. Many events during the week will require tickets at varying prices, and the full line-up of events will be available on the London Cocktail Week website from September.
You’ll need something to line your stomach before you start partying, and luckily there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Covent Garden. If you fancy Indian food try Masala Zone on Floral Street. Maxwell’s on James Street also comes highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a mouth-watering American style burger.
To get to Seven Dials from Generator London, walk down to Russell Square underground station and take the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden, which is just two stops away. Please note that there are currently some access issues at Covent Garden so you may need to get off at the next stop instead, which is Leicester Square, and walk from there. If you fancy walking from the hostel it’ll only take you around 25 minutes to get to the event.
Please note that you must be over the age of 21 to take part in London Cocktail Week events.
