A trip to Hamburg is not complete without a stroll along its famous Reeperbahn. All along the street are unique bars and clubs where the music is new and up and coming and always great. In September, though, the club scene here reaches fever pitch with the annual Reeperbahn Festival.
Almost every space including bars, cafes and clubs will be hosting a flood of the newest and freshest sounds and you are sure to find something to make you tap your toes, to make you think, or just to lose yourself in the dance.
Venues will be large like the famous Angie’s Nightclub, Docks and Grosse Freiheit 36 or smaller like Cowboy and Indianer, Rock Café and Strips & Stories.
So who can you expect to see at this year’s Reeperbahn Festival? Here is a list of some of the top acts: The Subways, MAXIM, All The Luck In The World, MANTAR, Bilderbuch, Jens Friebe, JaakkoEinoKalevi, Die Nerven, Talisco, Naomi Pilgrim, Daniel James, Malky, Gengahr and Annen May Kantereit.
You can get tickets online and there is a variety of prices between 24Euros to 89Euros depending on whether you pick a 1 day pass or a full 4 day pass. Have a look at the Reeperbahn Festival website for more information.
The Reeperbahn is one of Hamburg’s longest streets and it has its own train station. To get there hop on the S1, S2 or S3at the Hauptbahnhof which is just around the corner from Generator Hamburg – you won’t be able to miss the festival as you leave the station.
