Flora Women’s Mini Marathon
And now for the sport. The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon is the biggest women’s event of its kind in the world and runners of all ages and abilities from across the globe take part. It is less pressure than the major marathons as the emphasis is more on the raising money for charity aspect rather than, what is your best time. All competitors need to do is complete the 10km course by running, jogging or even walking and have a good time.
If you do finish the course you get a commemorative medal and ribbon, awesome. In Ireland 3rd June is a Bank Holiday so you can expect huge crowds to show up and support the runners. Good spots around the course to watch and cheer are the start at Fitzwilliam Square, Merrion Square Park and the finish at St Stephens Green. There are loads of entertainment places along the way to keep you in the mood. So why not go along and support a good cause?
