At only 22 this amazing singer/song writer has been on a roller-coaster ride of success. With 2 Brit Awards, for Best Male Artist and Best Breakthrough Artist, and a string of multi-platinum, platinum, and gold sales in different countries his talent is certainly being recognised globally. So now he is heading out on tour and the O2 in Dublin is one of his major gigs. Even if you are not a fan you have probably heard his tunes on the radio. His single “The A Team” debuted at number 3 on the UK singles chart. His latest track “Sing” has additional uncredited vocals from the man everyone wants to be friends with, Pharrell Williams, and has done pretty well in worldwide charts.
If you are going to the concert the doors open at 6.30pm so it is probably a good idea to get a bite to eat beforehand. There are loads of great restaurants in Dublin that do top notch early bird dinners for a good price.
If you happen to be in town then try The Market Bar on Fade Street for some relaxed tapas before the show.
Alternatively, Fallon and Byrne on Exchequer Street do a great pre-show dinner at 24.50Euros for 2 courses or 29.95Euros for 3 courses.
For some delicious French cuisine head to the Pichet on Trinity Street. Their pre-show dinners are slightly cheaper at 20Euros for 2 courses or 25Euros for 3 courses. They also have a great choice of gluten free items on the menu for those who have special dietary requirements.
From Generator Dublin the O2 is a 25 minute tram ride away near the docks. Catch the Red line from the Smithfield Luas Stop and it will take you to the door.
