Analysing Cubism at Irish Museum of Modern Art
This is a chance to see some of the most important Irish art of the last century. Analysing Cubism aims to bring together master works from some of Ireland’s most renowned artists and show their differing viewpoints on the Cubism movement. You can see paintings from Evie Hone and Mainie Jellett, two Irish artists who worked with André Lhote in Paris and subsequently the French artist, Albert Gleizes.
These two ladies had a huge influence on Irish abstract painting. Also featured are some seminal works from Picasso, Braque and Gris which should not be missed.
