Fans of Goldfrapp won’t want to be anywhere else but Tivoli’s Concert Hall on 31st July. If you love the band’s synthpop sound, you’re in for a real treat as this is sure to be a night to remember.The concert is taking place in the magical setting of Tivoli Gardens, which is sure to be full of energy and twinkling with lights, creating a spectacular atmosphere as the evening draws in.
The gig is part of the duo’s 2014 “Tales of Us” tour, in support of their sixth album by the same name. The latest album has a softer feel than their more recent material and is similar to their debut “Felt Mountain”, but concert goers should expect a good mix of old and new material in the set list.Listen out for old favourites like “Strict Machine” and“Ride A White Horse”, as well as “Drew”,the first single from their latest album.
The show kicks off at half seven, so you’ll want to fill up on fuel beforehand. Tivoli Gardens has plenty to offer in the way of food, from gourmet restaurants to fast food to grab on the go.And if you’re going there for the concert in the evening, you may even want to make a day or afternoon of it beforehand. As you can guess by the name, Tivoli Gardens is home to some beautiful flowers and fountains to stroll around, but for those wanting something a little more fast-paced there are also plenty of amusement rides and roller coasters.
Tivoli Gardens is a great way to spend a few hours, and it’s not far from Generator Copenhagen. A number of trains runevery couple of minutes from Nørreport Station to København H, which is directly opposite Tivoli Gardens. This takes about 15 minutes. Or if you’re feeling energetic, it’s a pretty straightforward 20 minute walk away.
