Magic Nights at Casa Batlló
Much of Barcelona’s beautiful architecture was designed by the famous artist Antoni Gaudi. You do not need to walk far in the city to see some of his amazing work. One particular place that stands out is the Casa Batlló apartment block on Passeig de Gràcia. During the summer the building is open late in the evenings and offers music, dancing and refreshment at the Magic Nights.
From 9pm onward you can wander the glorious halls of this elegant building in the heart of Barcelona. While Casa Batlló is remarkable in daylight at night it transforms into a magical, fantasy wonderland.
You will get a tour of the mezzanine floor where the Batlló family once lived, a free glass of cava or beer to sip while you relax on the terrace, and listen to live music.
Tickets cost around 29 Euros and you can book them online at the website. The evening openings are on from Wednesday to Saturday from 9pm. If you decide to go in the day a ticket will set you back between 18.50Euro and 21.50Euro and you get a free audio guide.
While there is some delicious tapas on offer at Magic Nights, if you are feeling hungry it is probably worth having some dinner beforehand. Luckily there are quite a few good places to eat along Passeig de Gràcia. Just across the road from Casa Batlló is Citrus where you can get a solid meal for a reasonable price. They specialise in traditional, local cuisine and they often have a live jazz band playing away to entertain the customers.
Casa Batlló is only a short walk of about 15 minutes from Generator Barcelona or you can catch the Metro for one stop at Diagonal if you want to save your legs for dancing.
