Hergé: that young Belgian reporter with his white fox terrier at Museu d’Història de Catalunya
What is the plucky, little Belgian reporter Tintin doing in Barcelona you may ask? The Museu d’Història de Catalunya presents a unique collection of photographs and illustrations from Herge (pen name of author George Remi) which were partly the inspiration and partly the foundation of his Tintin adventures.
Herge often claimed that Tintin was partly a self portrayal and many of the stories reflected the attitudes and events of the early 20th century. Spend a couple of hours out of the sun and explore how Herge blurred the lines between fiction and reality.
