You can catch me bang centre in the middle of Berlin. That’s my name you see-Mitte. I’m where you’ll find the best shops, street life and galleries, so I couldn’t be easier to find. But just incase here’s a few handy hints for you to follow below.
We is just a short distance away – major stations are just around the corner from the hostel. And getting from the airport by train couldn’t be simpler. There are four lines running into the centre of Berlin and it takes only 30 minutes. When you’ve arrived, trams will get you almost anywhere in the city in less than 10 minutes.
Using the S-Bahn in Berlin is easy. Simply take the S9 (which runs every 20 minutes – :13, :23 & ;53 minutes past the hour) to Ostkreuz and change there to the S5 or S7. From Friedrichstraße Station it is about 15 mins walk or you change to the S 1,2 or 25 to Oranienburger Straße. You’ll now be on my street… I live at number 65
Cost is €3.20…Winner!
Or just get a taxi for a total of €40.
Make sure you have €2.40 in your pocket for your one way ticket to Berlin Mitte from the airport. Take bus 128 to Kurt-Schumacher-Platz U-Bahn Station and take the U6 to Oranienburger Tor.
Or you can get the Taxi for approx. 22€
If you arrive in Berlin by bus, get off at the main bus station, ZOB and make sure you have €2.60 on you for a 36 minute journey to Mitte. Starting at the ZOB, walk to Berlin Mitte Nord/ ICC. From there catch the ‘Ringbahn’ S41 (circle line train).
When you reach the train station S-Bahn ‘Wedding’ change into the Underground U6 direction Alt-Mariendorf
When you reach Oranienburger Tor step out of the train and walk along Oranienburger Straße, after about 5 minutes you will reach me at number 65
But…if you’re feeling a bit tired, you could take the easy option and jump in a taxi for around €20.
