About the novel
Animal Party is the story of the author’s two-year stay in Brighton, UK, where she had no house or job and barely spoke the language. In the novel she faces a city of chaotic students and suspicious housing, constant culture shock and the seeking and capturing of a job (and friends) in the geographically close, but nonetheless foreign environment of this small city on the south coast of England. Behind the frosty appearance of the country she finds a peculiar culture with a surprising cuisine and colorful characters. She will try to get over her creative crises and small daily tragedies while she explores the complex world of independence where everyday events become surreal.
About the authors
Miriam Muñoz, a.k.a. Miriam Persand, (Madrid, 1985) is an illustrator and graphic designer who, after living in England for two years, is finally back home in her city of birth. Among her daily occupations are the magazine Una Buena Barba and occasional zine-making.
Susanna Martín (Barcelona, 1976) made her debut with the graphic novel Alicia en un mundo real (Norma Editorial, 2010), which she drew alongside Isabel Franc. Her latest graphic novel is Sonrisas de Bombay (Norma Editorial, 2012). She is the winner of the Lambda (2002 y 2008) and Jennifer Quiles (2011) awards.

The Barcelona based record label El Genio Equivocado will host the record launch inline with the US Record Store Day (initially inaugurated to raise awareness for the battle against digital music invasion and promotion). After an acoustic session at Ultra-Local Records in Pobleno, the band will head down to the Generator bar for a private signing of their records. Pin&Pon will play the last additions of the indie music scene from both Spanish and international artist and will make sure, that you flock to the dance floor and let your head down.
This is what your ears can expect:
About the artists
Wiggum are Julio Salvador (Vocals, Guitar), Halldór Már (Vocals, Guitar and Icelandic), Marc Miralles (bass) and Dani Barrera (Drums). Wiggum started in late 2009 when Julio Salvador and Halldór Már decided to embark on a new musical project with the goal of achieving their dream of someday living on their music. Along with Manu Sitges (drummer of the band until 2010, when he was replaced by Dani Barrera) and Marc Miralles (who became the substitute for the first bassist, Borja Salvador), Wiggum recorded their first LP called “Sintón Nisón ama a Nifú Nifá “in Barcelona’s studio Micromaltese (Linn Youki, Odio París, Las Ruinas) in February 2010 and with the production of Cacho Salvador (Julio’s brother and member of the grup Extraperlo). The album was well received by independent music critics, which gradually began to take notice of the young band.
During that year were playing in different venues in Barcelona until they signed in 2011 with the music label El Genio Equivocado. A deed that helped them expand their music in different parts of the Spanish territory throughout festivals like FIB, Monkey Week, Vertigo Estival …
In 2012 they again locked themselves in the rehearsal room to give shape to new songs for a second CD. That summer they once again enter Micromaltese to record 11 songs, this time produced by Marco Morgionne (Linn Youki) and Wiggum. Leaving aside the love songs and the sixties, they dive into a sea of distortion and double-voiced melodies to recover the more aggressive personality of the band and finally acknowledging their influences from the 90s like the early Oasis, Nirvana , Smashing Pumpkins, … and elemental punk (Sex Pistols and Ramones). The result is an album of nine songs called “La Guerra Mundial” which will be published on April 20th, 2013, again with El Genio Equivocado and the assurance of a new more decibel-loaded live-show without neglecting vocal harmonies and the personality of the band.
Do the pinching! This is Pin&Pon djs’ battle cry. Rafa and Joan have in recent times been considered one of the top rated DJ combos by the public (in recent years chosen as the Best National DJ by the readers of the prestigious music magazine Rockdelux). Almost all of the most representative spanish indie-circuit clubs (Sala Razzmatazz or Fellini in Barcelona; Le Club, LA3 or Excuse Me in Valencia; Low Club or Ocho y medio in Madrid; Stereo or Confetti in Alicante; or Fever in Bilbao, among many others) have warmly accepted their eclectic and fun sessions where everything has its place (from pop, rock, techno, electronic, soul …) caring above all for the quality in the selection and not forgetting the technique, with help from the latest technology tools like Serato Scratch Live or Vestax VCI-300. They have participated in festivals such as the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, Sonorama, South Pop Sevilla and Isla Cristina, SOS 4.8 in Murcia, etc … Their maximum is good taste and good technique, trying to mix up from the beginning to the end what seems difficult to combine. They are concert promoters and are also known for their musical-journalistic facet (they co-direct a musical web Indienauta.com and maintain informed the listeners of their weekly radio show, “Rayos C en tus oídos”, of the latest developments in the national and international independent scene), and they’re also ahead of the label “El Genio Equivocado” (home of artists like Odio Paris, Grushenka, Aias, Las Ruinas, Les Sueques …). Someone said about them that they were “indie hard workers” and observing their CV this statement could not be more accurate. Pin&Pon djs, as djs, explore in each of their sessions their extensive knowledge of the latest music, without forgetting to also give free rein to the classics, those hits that have been with us for years and have become indispensable on the crazy nights in our country.

About the designer
Here is the link to her latest collection.
Nerea Lurgain was born on November 10th, 1977 in Donostia-San Sebastián. She got her degree in Fine Arts in Leioa, Bizkaia. Then, she moved to Barcelona to study fashion design at the IDEP design school.
As well as her academic education, Nerea’s work experience went through different areas in the design world and art in general, imbued with ideas, inspiration, working methods and designing mechanisms that brought her to a unique and personal way of projecting garments. A great talent and vision for what the Generalitat de Catalunya selected as part of the Projecte Bressol.
To her work and academic experience we should add fashion shows and exhibitions, that made her art and talent evident in the fashion world, such as the participation in the fashion contest organised by Moda Fad and the “080″ circuit in Barcelona, both in 2007 and an exhibition at the Suspect shop in Barcelona as part of the Bread and Butter Design Barcelona Tour and a joint exhibition at the CCCB, also in the same city.
Her last shows and showrooms were 080 Barcelona Fashion Week, Andalucía de Moda, MID-E and VI edition of Fashion Freak in Barcelona, Paris and Berlin.
