This is Out Here in Copenhagen
If you’ve been to Copenhagen before, you’ll agree that it’s simply a concoction of beautiful things… including the people. There is just so much to see and it’s also one of the most diverse cities, you can enjoy everything from marina life in Østerbro to fine architecture in Christianshavn. Covering most of the city, the guys did a fair amount of exploring on their travels from Tivoli Gardens to the cryptic acreage of Freetown Christiania. Feast your eyes on snaps below of some the places they visited; don’t worry though we’re not going to ruin it for you!
They visited Tivoli Gardens, the second oldest amusement park in the world which officially opened in 1843. Everyone loves a good theme park, but these guys were roaming Tivoli grounds before it was opened for the day. We can only imagine the difference in atmosphere of a theme park when it’s completely empty and engulfed in silence aside from that one cold breeze.
Their travels lead them to catch up with the guys over at WrenchMonkees, THE go-to motorcycle builders in the city. They build custom retro-rugged bikes that will more than compel you to try your hand at moto-racing… well they’ve won us over.
When in Copenhagen… visit Chassis Arcades. Forget 1024 HD graphics, HDMI cables and blu-ray discs, it’s back to basics in this joint (still love PS4 though…). But this place just screams nostalgia, what a great way to relive those child memories of playing space invaders (or Mortal Kombat if you’re 90s born… we’ve still got love for you) until your fingers bled/you ran out of 50p coins. Anyway there’s no doubt Out Here had a field day here.
The guys also catch up with Michael Lodberg Olsen the man behind Copenhagen’s ILLEGAL Magazine (his answer to London’s ‘Big Issue’). They chat to him about his reasons for launching the magazine and more.
Right that’s all we’re giving you for now! The Copenhagen issue will be launching end of May and we honestly can’t wait to show you what they’ve done. Can you?
There’s more to come, stay tuned. But for now, This Is Out Here… have a gander.
