Sébastien Preschoux’s String Installation

Feast your eyes on Generator Berlin Mitte’s latest edition. Recently, we had French artist Sébastien Preschoux weave what we can only describe as a geometric wonder. Hand-woven from scratch, Seb’s string installation hangs proudly in our lounge and is a great addition to the hostels collection of art.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Sébastien Preschoux, he’s hailed for his imaginative thread installation such as “Nocturnes”. A project he created in the middle of a forest featuring finely stretched thread work and intricate lighting. Anyway, whilst Sébastien was weaving away, we asked photographer Dan Keinan to document the process for us. We also and sat down with Seb for a quick chat where he spoke about his installation for our hostel and why he does what he does.

We love what he does and why he does it, watch for yourself below.
