What’s up weekend…
Warm up for the weekend over at Generator Dublin this Friday night. Willo gives out old school classics, R&B and deep house all the way till 11pm. If you keen on seeing fresh new music then get down to Generator Berlin Prenzlauer Berg for our Club Night this Friday. You’re guaranteed new bands every week. We’re pretty much at the end of the period where it’s suddenly become acceptable to be obsessed with ice skating, but why not get in one last fix over in Copenhagen this Friday. Located right outside the entrance to the Frederiksberg Gardens, this one comes for free… if you own your own skates.
The Sonnabend Collection at Ca’ Pesaro in Venice is ideal for a Saturday afternoon culture sesh. It features big names from the world of modern art such as Lichtenstein, Warhol and Jasper Johns. There’s something about seeing modern art up against the painted ceilings and baroque architecture of the building that makes it jump out at you all the more.
As if Canary wharf wasn’t statement enough, they’ve gone and installed an array of beautifully carved ice sculptures throughout the grounds surrounding it. Some would say over the top…we would say ‘when it comes to fat baby angels made of out ice…what’s not to like?’ Sunday is the last day before these sculptures are gone going. Wrap your numb little fingers around a warm hot chocolate and chow down a pastry at the Winter Market when your done.
There are two big events coming up over at Generator Barcelona. Numero uno is our Drap Art closing party this Wednesday evening. For the closing night, we’ve have invited 4 artists to exhibit, alongside the incredible artworks featuring in the gallery. DJ Dalida Kibir will also be on the decks in the bar to entertain you. Take in the beautiful art from 7pm and enjoy the DJ set till late. Big thing number two is the launch of our tattoo exhibition. To mark the opening of the exhibition, we’ll be throwing a launch party this Thursday with DJs and drinks. Explore their artwork and get a little bit lively.
See you next week…
