What to do this week…

Weekly City Guide

Friday

Barcelona’s new open air cinema is something pretty and a little bit different for you this Friday night. It’s the perfect place snuggle up to someone while you watch a classic under the stars. Copenhagen Fashion week is in full swing this weekend. Fashionistas this is your calling, use your imaginations and get yourselves bacakstage at a show. If you meet Kate Moss say hi from us.  For a big un head take on Well Known Late Night DJ’s over at Generator Dublin. With a vinyl collection that holds hip hop, soul, house and funk you’re onto a winner.

Saturday

Saturday night and our Dress to Impress party will be stirring things up at Generator Copenhagen. Dress nicely and you’ll be rewarded with a free drink, that’s true friendship right there. Hot step it over to Generator Hamburg and it’s Tropical Party time, all fake fruit headpieces welcome. Cocktail wise it’s only €5 for a Mojito or a Cubre Libre. You aint gonna get better than that friends. If you’re flying by Berlin this Saturday, take a look at Berlin Lacht Internationals Strassentheatre Festival. It’s a bit of a mouthful, we know, but it’s free and full of fun!

 Sunday

If you’re out and about in London this Sunday, definitely take a trip to to Buckingham palace. There are special tours available which take you inside queenies offical residence. That doesn’t happen every day we can tell you! In Dublin catch one of Tennesse Williams’ most famous plays, ‘ A Street Car Named Desire’. It’s showing at the Gate Theatre and if you haven’t read or seen much of his work, Williams is famous for a reason so check it out. If Sunday is your lazy day and you don’t fancy leaving the hostel, wander downstairs and take a look at ‘The Long Way Home‘ exhibition over at Generator Berlin Mitte. Thomas Skou’s photography is unique and one taking some time over .

During the week…

The Great British Beer festival is taking pride of place in our reccommendations this week. Hop on a tube to Kensington Olympia this Tuesday and try an assortment of delightful tipples from beer to cider.  In Barcelona it’s a public hoilday this Thursday and day one of Festa Major de Gracia. Our hostel is right in the middle of it all and its a freebie! Back to London and why not start as you mean to go on this Monday, head to We Love requets over at Generator London and Shredded Pete will play you what you want!

That’s that.
