Our weekly guide…You know the drill

Weekly Events Guide to Europe

Friday

Starting big – Oxygen Music Festival begins this Friday in Dublin with Sasha and Fake blood dominating the first night. If you’re more of a traditional one just head downstairs at Generator Dublin for Caed Mile Failte, a night of traditional Irish Music. In Berlin it’s International beer Festival time, the perfect excuse for some daytime drinking. If you’re over Hamburg way and you have a secret heavy metal side to you then let it all out at Wacken Festival. It’s worth a snoop just to see what Alice Cooper might do next.

Saturday

Saturday’s all about the sunshine. Swing by Generator Copenhagen for our Garage Party and watch the people go by sippin on ice cold somersby Cider – DJ on from 9pm. If you feel like a something different in Copenhagen, Kulturhaven Harbour festival is the one. It’s not all boats, there’s rap battles, circus tricks and music plus the waterbuses are free for the festival.  Heading over to Hamburg it’s our White night Party. Sun worshippers we’ve got your back with a free drink for anyone wearing two or more items of white clothing.

Sunday

There’s not one but two festivals for you greedy lot in Dublin this weekend. Castlepalooza Festival in the gothic Charville Castle is small but mighty. Tickets for the Sunday are only 35 euros. If you’re at Generator Berlin, pass by Thomas Skous’s ‘The Long Way Home’ Exhibition this Sunday afternoon. Photos so good you’ll want to take them home with you. In London, Camden’s Fringe Festival has arrived with too much comedy and theatre to know what to do with. This weekend is only the beginning as it’s here all month.

 The Weekdays

Roll on the week and our hostel fave is Joss Akiaki’s Fashion show over at Generator Copenhagen. She’ll be showcasing her new line as a part of Copenhagen Fashion Week, it’s a must see and we’re not being biased. On Wednesday, Trad Rocks at Generator Dublin comes in close second. Hosted by the big man himself, Alan mac, holding down the name of Irish culture. The band will get you hooked and your feet thumping. Monday night means Karaoke night for Generator Copenhagen. Always a winner. Last but not least it’s Gin and Juice on Thursday night at Generator London. Shake it up with free a breakdancing class, gin and juice bargains for some dutch courage and T-money on the decks.

Tune in next week.
